Labor Day weekend is here and the pools are starting to close, which means the pools of blood are opening at Middletown’s Land of Illusion Haunted Scream Park. Friday was opening night for the popular attraction, which has been scaring the bejesus out of people for nearly 20 years.
The park will celebrate the beginning of the fright season tonight at 9 with cover band Spungewurthy, one of many bands that will play there this year, on the Stage of Rage. The show is included with the purchase of a general admission ticket, which also includes four separate haunted houses and the haunted trail. The park also offers guests a chance to put the undead out of their wicked misery with the Zombie Sniper Patrol as well as experience the Demon Drop ride. Both attractions require separate tickets.
