A grant to help a $7 million expansion that will keep 160 jobs and add 45 new ones at Mound Business Park is expected to be accepted tonight.
Montgomery County has approved a $175,000 city of Miamisburg request for more space for Excelitas Technologies at its site at 1100 Vanguard Drive.
The county EDGE grant is a part of a deal by which Excelitas will expand, creating jobs with the help of a 15-year tax abatement from the city and a $7.1 million investment by the Mound Development Corporation, city records show.

Miamisburg City Council is expected to accept the grant tonight.
The deal is contingent upon Excelitas adding 45 new jobs in the county by 2021, Miamisburg records show. The move would give the company a $13 million annual payroll by 2022, records show.
Excelitas Technologies was formed in 2010, according to its website. It provides customized optoelectronics and advanced electronic systems to a global customer base.
The Miamisburg City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. at the Miamisburg Civic Center, 10 N. First St.
