A Springfield school district suspended a student after a list was found that included names of people he wants to kill.

Clark-Shawnee Local School Superintendent Gregg Morris said the list had two columns -- one with a list of friends and another with a list of people the student doesn't like. It was labelled as a kill list.

Security precautions have been taken, according to Morris, though he would not release specifics.

"It was taken very seriously. The student was disciplined," Morris said. "The principal contacted every parent whose (student's) name was on the list so they would know exactly was going on."

The Clark County Sheriff's Office is deciding whether charges will be filed.

The student has since returned to school after having been removed for some time. As assessment was completed to ensure it was safe for the other students for him to return, Morris said.
