Grand jury indicts PC’s Lounge shooting suspect

UPDATE @ 3:38 p.m. (Nov. 30):

Awet Teskeste was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury for reckless homicide and several other charges stemming from the fatal shooting of Milton T. Davis-Tompkins at PC’s Lounge earlier this month.

Teskeste also faces a single count of assault, illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor permit premises and CCW. He also faces two counts of tampering with evidence.

Teskeste is expected to be arraigned in court on Dec. 3 at 8:30 a.m.

UPDATE @ 3:46 p.m. (Nov 23):

Awet Teskeste was arraigned in Dayton Municipal Court this afternoon and has his bond set at $250,000, according to a court clerk.

Teskeste’s next court date is scheduled for Nov. 30 at 3:30 p.m.

UPDATE @ 2:45 p.m.:

Dayton police arrested a 37-year-old man in connection to the early Wednesday morning fatal shooting of Milton T. Davis-Tompkins, officials said in a press release Thursday afternoon.

Officers said the suspect was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. Police declined to release his name.

However, according to Montgomery County Jail records, police arrested Awet Teskeste, 37, at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday at the Dayton Police Department, but officials have not confirmed if Teskeste is the suspect in the PC’s Lounge shooting.

Teskeste was booked on suspicion of murder, but official charges have not been filed, according to his jail booking sheet.

UPDATE @ 1:22 p.m.:

Police have arrested a suspect in connection to the fatal shooting at PC’s Lounge in Dayton, according to dispatch reports.

No further information on the suspect or possible charges was immediately available.

UPDATE @ 10:28 a.m.

The Coroner’s Office has identified the shooting victim as 29-year-old Milton T. Davis-Tompkins, of Dayton.

UPDATE @ 4:40 a.m.

Dayton police confirm a man has died from his injuries after being shot outside PC’s Lounge Wednesday morning.

A woman was also shot and taken to Miami Valley Hospital where she’s in serious condition, police said.

Officers said the two appeared to be a couple, and were shot by another man outside the bar at 2339 North Gettysburg Avenue.

Police do not have any other suspect information at this time.

The identity of the victims will not be released until family has been notified.

Our crew remains on scene, awaiting a statement from police on the status of the investigation.

No word yet on the conditions of the victims or if police have any suspects.

Dayton police and medics have responded to a reported double shooting at PC’s Lounge on North Gettysburg Avenue Wednesday morning.

Units were dispatched to the bar at 2339 North Gettysburg Avenue around 2:25 a.m. and have reported both a male and a female on the scene with gunshot wounds.
