Panera Bread purse-snatching suspect indicted

A 22-year-old Dayton man was indicted today in connection to a purse-snatching at a Panera Bread in Kettering.

Dustin Coy, 22, is charged with two counts of felony theft. He is no longer in jail, and is ordered to appear Oct. 20 for arraignment, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

Coy is accused of snatching the purse of an elderly woman May 17 from the Far Hills Drive restaurant.

Kettering police said Dustin Coy, 22, has been charged with theft in this May incident at a Panera Bread.

He will appear in Kettering Municipal Court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

Police in Kettering are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly stole a purse last month.

Surveillance video captured a man stealing an elderly woman’s purse at the Panera Bread on Far Hills Avenue.
