Kettering pub property sold, business will remain

The property where McGillicutty’s Pub is located in Kettering recently sold, but the restaurant/pub is expected to remain the same.

Whipp 1980 LLC purchased the property at 1980 E. Whipp Road for $300,000 from El Bouza Inc. at the end of June.

Kevin Kash has been the owner of the pub since April 1994, and said the sale will not affect the restaurant.

“Everything is still the same,” he said.

Kash is the president of El Bouza and previous owner of the building. He will continue to own McGillicutty’s and lease the property from its new owners.

“We just got a good offer and decided to do it,” Kash said. “We’re not changing anything and we’re still going strong.”
