New Dayton Children’s building construction, research parks break ground locally and more local headlines

Happy Friday the 13th! We made it to the last day of the workweek, and we don’t even had to wait until tonight for some Dayton Flyer basketball action, with that coming this afternoon. More on that later, as well as a list of fun things to do here in the Miami Valley this weekend, as we have some local news to tell you about as you start your morning...

🏗️ New Dayton Children’s building: Dayton Children’s announced that it’s constructing a new building that will provide more access to rehabilitative services near its main campus in Dayton. The new building will create more space to care for children in need of physical, speech or occupational therapies. Find out where it will be built in Samantha Wildow’s story here.

🪏 Research parks break ground: Project partners celebrated dual office parks with a ceremonial groundbreaking Thursday, hailing planned developments where Air Force, Space Force and Dayton businesses leaders intend to deepen long partnerships. You can learn about both sites from our Thomas Gnau here.

🎓 New OSU president: Ohio State trustees have voted to appoint Executive Vice President and Provost Ravi Ballamkonda as their new school president.
